About Midsomer Norton

Midsomer Norton is a town near the Mendip Hills in Bath and North East Somerset, England. It lies 10 miles (16 km) south-west of Bath, 10 miles (16 km) north-east of Wells, 10 miles (16 km) north-west of Frome, 12 miles (19 km) west of Trowbridge and 16 miles (26 km) south-east of Bristol. At the 2021 census, the parish had a population of 12,197, and the built-up area as defined by the Office for National Statistics, which extends into the neighbouring parish of Westfield, had a population of 13,745. The town closely adjoins neighbouring Radstock. Between 1933 and 2011 they formed a single administrative area called Norton Radstock.
