Colby Cheese Days: Run For Jamison

About the Event

The course itself starts and finishes at Colby City Park South, traversing familiar terrain with its hard and dry surface. Runners will navigate through winding streets before returning to the park for the finish line. The race layout includes notable features such as the historic Colby Opera House entrance on 1st Street and a scenic loop around the central fountain in the park. Distances are clearly marked, ensuring that participants can find their way with ease.
Starting at 8:00 AM sharp, runners will face conditions typical of mid-July weather in Wisconsin. The average temperature is expected to be around 21 degrees Celsius, feeling quite comfortable under a UV index rated as very high. The trail surface remains hard and dry due to the low chance of rainfall, but participants should prepare for some light humidity with an afternoon heat that might push temperatures up towards 26 degrees. With strong winds at nine miles per hour, runners may experience gusts that could affect their pace.
