ClimAid PlantATree Run 2026

On Sunday, October 11, 2026, runners and walkers are invited to participate in the inaugural ClimAid Plant A Tree Run. This unique group run is designed for those who wish to enjoy nature while making a positive environmental impact.
The event will take place around Haan with participants covering a scenic 24km route that offers a mix of terrain. While much of the path is paved, it also includes stretches of gravel and dirt trails, providing an engaging challenge suitable for both runners and casual walkers alike. The course layout ensures varied scenery throughout its length.
A key highlight of this event is the tree planting ceremony which takes place approximately halfway through the run. Each participant will have the opportunity to plant a symbolic or actual sapling along the route as part of ClimAid's ongoing reforestation efforts. All trees planted during the race are included in your registration fee and will be cared for by ClimAid moving forward.
Local guides will accompany runners throughout, ensuring everyone maintains an even pace while enjoying the local surroundings at their own comfort level. While there won't be any official timing chips or prizes awarded, GPS data can still be shared post-race to generate a ranking list if desired. Each participant who submits their results will receive a certificate of paternity for their tree via email.
The event is limited to 150 participants and offers several perks including a race bag filled with goodies upon registration along with snacks and drinks provided during the run and afterwards. A complimentary T-shirt in an eye-catching design can also be purchased at checkout, while additional refreshments will be available throughout the day for all attendees.

Registration costs are as follows:
- 24km Run: €35 (€40 for late registration), including T-shirt, tree planting and race bag.
- 24km Walk: Same pricing structure applies without the option of a competitive ranking system but with all other benefits intact.
Late on-site registrations will be accepted up until 20 minutes before each start time provided payment is made in cash along with an additional late registration fee.
Please note that your entry fees won't be deducted from your account until September 28, 2026. Start packets and T-shirts/bags can be picked up starting at 08:30 AM on the day of the event or during a pre-race party scheduled for Saturday, October 10th.

- 11:00 AM - Runners
