Clevedon Triathlon

Experience the thrill of the 2026 Clevedon Sprint Triathlon, an exhilarating weekend celebration of swimming, cycling, and running along the picturesque coastline of Clevedon. This year’s edition promises to be as memorable as ever with a carefully crafted course that showcases the area's natural beauty.
The event kicks off on Saturday morning at the Marine Lake, where participants will dive into a 750-meter open water swim in the safety of this tranquil setting. The lake offers stunning views of Clevedon Pier, a historic Victorian landmark that sets the perfect backdrop for your aquatic adventure. After drying off and gearing up, you’ll transition to the bike portion on Sunday.
The cycling route takes competitors through fast and undulating roads with breathtaking sea vistas across the Bristol Channel towards Portishead and back. The course is designed not only for speed but also for scenic enjoyment, allowing athletes to soak in the rolling hills and picturesque landscapes as they pedal along some of the most stunning stretches of coastline around.
The final leg brings you onto a 5-kilometer run that combines flat seafront promenades with challenging trails through Poets Walk and Wains Hill. This varied terrain tests your endurance on both paved paths offering coastal views and rugged, wooded sections providing an invigorating challenge. The race concludes back at Salthouse Fields where the finish line awaits.
Participants have the option to complete the event without receiving a medal or t-shirt upon completion; however, these can be purchased separately for £7 per person if desired. This choice allows individuals who wish to focus solely on their athletic performance while also supporting environmental sustainability efforts by reducing waste. For relay teams, each member must purchase their own individual medals.
