CIRCUITO DE CORRIDA SEST SENAT SIMOES FILHO

On November 29, 2026, the SEST SENAT Race—Simões Filho Edition will bring together workers from the transportation sector and the general public for an invigorating morning of running. The event kicks off at 6:30 AM with a start line located on Altamirando de Araújo Ramos Avenue (also known as Rui Barbosa Avenue) in Simões Filho’s city center, near Praça da Bíblia.
Participants can choose between two scenic routes: a 3 km walk and a 5 km run. Both courses wind through the heart of Simões Filho, offering runners views of local landmarks and neighborhoods while promoting health and community engagement. The race is designed to accommodate up to 1,000 participants, ensuring an intimate atmosphere where everyone can enjoy their personal best.
Upon registration, all athletes will receive a comprehensive kit that includes a t-shirt, timing chip, bib number, and a drawstring bag. Those who complete the event in accordance with the rules will earn a well-deserved medal to commemorate their achievement.
The race offers various entry options: regular entries cost R$120, while social lotteries provide discounted rates for both general participants (R$65 plus 2 kg of food donations) and transportation workers (free registration but requires 4 kg of food donations). This initiative not only encourages physical activity but also supports local communities by collecting essential food items.
Race day will feature a ceremony to award trophies to the top three finishers in both genders for the overall 5 km race, as well as separate categories recognizing transportation workers and athletes with disabilities. The awards ceremonies commence after results are finalized, starting around 7:30 AM for the general classification and continuing at 8:00 AM for specific categories.
Participants can pick up their kits on November 27th or 28th from the SEST SENAT unit in Simões Filho, where they must present a valid ID along with proof of registration. Food donations are mandatory based on each entry type and should be unopened and within expiration dates.
This event is more than just a race; it's an opportunity to connect over shared goals while contributing positively to the community’s well-being.
