Cedar Crest Trail Run

Cedar Crest Trail Run invites runners to explore its scenic trails for three different distances: half marathon, 10 kilometers, and a shorter 5-kilometer option. The courses are designed with both experienced trail runners and newcomers in mind.
The half marathon and 10k routes traverse relatively non-technical terrain similar to many of the well-known trails found across middle Tennessee. These courses offer opportunities for higher intensity running or serve as an excellent stepping stone toward longer races later in the year. The shorter 5-kilometer route, on a hilly gravel road, is ideal for those looking for a more compact challenge.
Aid stations will be strategically placed at approximately miles 2.5, 4, and 6 to ensure runners have access to water and other essentials throughout their run. While the race start time may be delayed due to adverse weather conditions such as lightning, severe weather could potentially lead to cancellation on the day of the event.
Packet pickup will take place on Friday, February 20 from 3 - 6 p.m., and Saturday, February 21 from 7 to 8 a.m. All participants receive a tote bag featuring the race logo upon registration. The post-race meal is included for all runners; those with dietary restrictions should contact the race director in advance.
Cedar Crest offers various lodging options including primitive tent camping at $10 per night, bunk-style group lodging (heated) at $20 per night, and RV hookups also priced at $20 per night. These accommodations are available on February 14 and 15 for those wishing to extend their stay.
The race is dog-friendly with specific guidelines in place: dogs must start from the back of the pack, be leashed throughout the run, and runners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Dogs may camp or reside at RV hookups but are not permitted inside lodges.
Cedar Crest Trail Run takes place on 500 acres near Lyles, Tennessee, offering a peaceful retreat setting managed by the Tennessee Western Kentucky Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church since 1959. The event promises an enjoyable and memorable experience for all participants amidst its serene natural surroundings.
Participants can look forward to age group prizes and a raffle at the finish line. However, it's important to note that there are no credits, transfers, deferrals, or refunds available once registered.
