CARIJÓS EXPEDITION 450K - 2027 De 08 a 14 de Julho de 2027.

About the Event

The Carijós Expedition 450k is an unparalleled ultra marathon journey through the rugged and pristine landscapes of Brazil's northern Rio Grande do Sul coast, from São José do Norte to Torres. This epic race spans six days with daily stages averaging about 80 kilometers each. Participants will traverse breathtaking cliffs along Praia de Torres, explore the intense marine life around Lagoa dos Patos—one of the world’s largest lagoons—and camp overnight in various natural reserves and historic towns like Mostardas.
The expedition is more than just a race; it's an immersive experience that honors the legacy of the Carijós people. Competitors will follow in the footsteps of these indigenous ancestors, who once navigated this coastline long before European colonization. Each runner battles through six stages under conditions resembling survival scenarios, with no single disqualification ending their journey prematurely.
At night, runners camp beneath starlit skies and engage in a sacred ritual where only one competitor earns the prestigious red feather, symbolizing the ultimate warrior spirit of Carijós heritage. This event is not just an adventure but a profound connection to nature and history that leaves participants with unforgettable memories.
The expedition takes place from July 8th to 14th, 2027, offering an inclusive environment where all competitors—regardless of gender—are treated equally in their quest for personal triumph. Join this extraordinary journey into the heart of Brazil’s natural wonders and cultural heritage.
