Caatinga Trail 2026 - Edição Especial 5 Anos

The Corrida Caatinga Trail invites runners to explore the rugged beauty of Brazil's Caatinga biome on October 18, 2026. This fifth edition takes place near Lagoa do Vitorino, a quilombola community located just 20 kilometers from Vitória da Conquista in Bahia. Participants will encounter diverse terrains including old dirt roads, rocky trails, and dried-up riverbeds as they navigate through the unique landscape of Caatinga.
The event offers four challenging courses: 7km, 15km, 21km, and 35km, each providing a distinct mix of technical sections and breathtaking scenery. The shorter routes feature winding paths along old roads and rocky trails, while longer distances include steep climbs and descents through remote villages like Furadinho and Gameleira.
Runners will face the notorious Gado Bravo River stretch with its sandy banks and large rocks on the 15km route, followed by a climb to Serra Grande. The full marathon distance adds an additional leg along Boa Vista before returning via the historic Brenha road, known for its dramatic elevation changes and stunning vistas.
The race starts at dawn with waves beginning promptly at 6:30 AM after morning registration from 6:00 AM.
This event promises intimate encounters with nature as Caatinga transitions between dry season hues of gray and lush green awaiting the rains.
