About the Event

On November 15, 2026, runners will gather at Busselton Jetty to embark on a scenic half marathon journey along the coastal footpath toward Dunsborough Bay Yacht Club. This unique training session by the Busselton Triathlon Club challenges participants to finish at precisely 9am, with start times tailored based on individual expected run times provided ahead of the event.
Participants aiming for personal bests will receive their personalized start time via email from organizer Ben Freer before race day. Extreme Sandbaggers—those who complete the course well ahead of schedule—are in for a playful surprise as they may be ceremoniously "thrown into the ocean" upon crossing the finish line at Dunsborough Bay Yacht Club.
The route offers stunning coastal scenery and features an aid station with water at the 10km mark. Runners are advised to bring their own hydration packs or bottles, though taps and toilets along the path provide additional support. A shorter option of 11.4km is also available for those preferring a more manageable distance; start times for this route will be similarly calculated based on expected completion time.
Post-race festivities include cold water and snacks at the finish line in Dunsborough Yacht Club Car Park, where participants are encouraged to carpool back to Busselton Jetty.
