Bun Run - Edinburgh

The Bun Run offers a unique twist on traditional runs, inviting participants to explore Edinburgh’s vibrant independent bakeries while enjoying a leisurely pace. Over approximately 15 km, runners will stop at various bakery spots along the route, picking up smaller portions or half pastries that complement the run without weighing them down.
Participants are divided into paced groups—offered in increments of about 5:30 min/km, 6:00 min/km, 6:30 min/km and 7:00 min/km—to ensure a relaxed experience for everyone. Each group starts at slightly different times to manage the stops efficiently.
The event is designed with community in mind; it’s an opportunity to chat, laugh, and enjoy the scenic routes of Edinburgh without pressure or competition. Runners will move through public spaces like pavements and paths, requiring awareness and respect towards others sharing these areas.
At each bakery stop, runners are treated to a small but delightful pastry from local businesses, creating a memorable experience that blends exercise with culinary delights. However, it’s important to note that dietary restrictions or allergies cannot be accommodated due to the nature of working closely with various bakeries across the city.
The Bun Run is perfect for those who appreciate the social aspects of running as much as the physical challenge, ensuring an enjoyable and engaging day out in Edinburgh on November 29, 2026.
