About the Event

Brigg Town Centre hosts an exhilarating 10km road race that promises to be both competitive and challenging. Participants can opt for the standard UKA-licensed course or take on the Military Challenge, which adds an extra layer of difficulty with a weighted backpack and combat boots.
The event kicks off at 9:30 AM sharp, followed by the Military Challenge runners setting out just fifteen minutes later. The race route winds through Brigg's charming town center, offering a scenic backdrop for serious athletes aiming to set personal bests or those looking for an invigorating run on licensed UKA roads.
For competitors choosing the military option, they must carry a backpack weighing 36 pounds (16.3 kg) for men and 24 pounds (10.9 kg) for women throughout the entire race distance. This adds significant physical demands to the event but also provides an authentic experience that honors veterans' dedication.
Race organizers encourage all participants, whether running or tabbing (walking), to enjoy a unique finisher's medal designed specifically for this event and indulge in some well-deserved cake at the end of their journey through Brigg’s vibrant streets. Additionally, runners can purchase custom t-shirts whose proceeds go directly towards supporting the Poppy Appeal.
Join us on race day for an unforgettable experience that blends physical challenge with community spirit. See you soon!
