About the Event

Join us for the Bovenboerloop 2026, marking our 37th year of organizing this spirited and friendly run through the picturesque surroundings of Nijeveen. The race offers three distances: a half marathon (11,4 km), an 11.4-kilometer course, and a traditional English four-mile event.
Participants can collect their chip-timed bibs at the DOS'46 korfbal club’s canteen before the run starts. After crossing the finish line, runners are invited to relax in this communal space for some post-race conversation, perhaps over snacks or drinks.
Registration is open until December 5th, 2026, with fees increasing by €3 if you sign up after November 1st. Here’s a breakdown of the race details:
- Half Marathon: €17.50, starts at 1:00 PM
- 11.4 km Run: €15.00, starts at 1:00 PM
- Four Mile Race: €12.50, begins promptly at 1:10 PM
For those driving to the event, parking is available at Nieuweweg 5 near Sporthal De Eendracht in Nijeveen. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk along Tussenboerseweg to reach the race venue – Sportveldencomplex Tussenboerslanden.
We encourage all runners to arrive early and make their way to the starting line at Tussenboerseweg 8, where Korfbalvereniging DOS'46 is located. We look forward to welcoming you on December 5th for a memorable day of running in Nijeveen.
