BM MBO - Powys or North Gwent 27

Embark on an exhilarating journey through the rugged terrain of South Wales for the Black Mountains Mountain Bike Orienteering (MBO) event, part of the 2027 series. This unique blend of cycling and navigation offers a challenge suitable for all ages and skill levels from 12 to over 80 years old, as long as you're comfortable riding off-road and can read an OS map.
The race takes place in some of Wales' most scenic landscapes, including the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), Black Mountains, Wye Valley, and Forest of Dean. Riders will navigate through diverse terrain, from rolling hills to dense forests, using both EBike and traditional Analog MapRun courses.
Upon registration at 09:30am, participants can borrow a waterproof OS map along with a Correx board for the day if needed. The goal is to plan your route to visit as many checkpoints as possible within a three-hour time limit before returning to base. Post-ride refreshments will be served in the hall, offering warm tea, coffee, sausage rolls, and cake.
Detailed event information, including course specifics and start times, will be sent out two weeks prior to the race date via email for those on the mailing list. Join the mailing list by clicking HERE to stay updated with all essential details leading up to the ride.
