Blooming Trail Run @ Morgenhof

Experience the final burst of spring on November 29, 2026, with the Blooming Trail Run at Morgenhof Wine Estate near Stellenbosch. This scenic race offers runners a chance to explore hand-built singletrack trails designed by Meurant Botha, weaving through colorful slopes and lush forests. Participants will encounter varied terrain including rocky stretches, grassy paths, steep climbs, and flowing descents that showcase the beauty of the Winelands region.
The event features two distances: an 11km route starting at 08h00 and a shorter 7km option beginning just fifteen minutes later. Both courses promise breathtaking views and rewarding challenges on trails that wind through vineyards and mountain slopes, making every step worthwhile for runners of all abilities.
Registration opens early in the morning at 07h15, with online entries closing by midnight two days prior to the race day. On-site late entry is also available but comes with an additional fee.
Runners will be treated to refreshments along the route and a well-deserved cup of Coke upon crossing the finish line where every participant receives a medal. The estate's restaurant serves coffee from registration time onwards, offering a perfect spot for post-race recovery meals or wine tasting sessions.
For those looking to track their performance, optional timing is available with an Amarider Trail Tag that can be rented on-site for R25. Results will be posted online shortly after the event concludes, providing runners with detailed insights into their day’s efforts amidst nature's splendor.
