Blarney Stone Mad Half Marathon 2027

On March 14, 2027, runners gather at Blarney GAA Club for an invigorating race through rural Cork. The day begins with a scenic route that winds through the charming streets of Blarney Village, setting the stage for what lies ahead. As participants leave the village behind and head down Waterloo Road towards Rathduff Cross, they are treated to panoramic views of the River Martin valley, adding an element of natural beauty to their journey.
The course features a challenging out-and-back section that tests endurance before leading runners back into Blarney Village via a left turn toward Blarney Secondary School. After navigating around the school grounds, racers cross the finish line at the GAA Clubhouse amidst cheers from spectators and fellow competitors.
With a strict 3-hour limit in place, this race is designed for those who can maintain a steady pace over its undulating terrain. Participants will receive a Finisher Medal & Mug upon completion, with an option to purchase a t-shirt for an additional cost. The event also includes chip timing and official Athletics Ireland certification.
Race day registration closes on March 13, but participants must ensure they are capable of finishing within the time limit before committing. A race briefing will be sent out prior to the event detailing essential information such as parking arrangements and how to collect your race number.
For those looking for a blend of scenic beauty and spirited competition, this is an excellent choice on Ireland's spring calendar.
