BigSky Trails (AIR)

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the New Forest National Park, BigSky offers runners an unforgettable trail running experience on September 26, 2027. Starting from Hyde Common at sunrise, participants will embark on a journey through wide open plains and winding forest trails, with panoramic views stretching as far as the eye can see.
The event features three distances: an 18-mile route, a marathon, and a challenging ultramarathon of 50 kilometers. Each course is meticulously marked and supported by aid stations offering essential supplies for runners to push through their respective cut-off times. The race finishes back at Hyde Common with the promise of a bespoke finishers medal and stunning views over the New Forest.
Runners will encounter diverse terrain, from rolling hills and dense woodland paths to open ridges like Hampton Ridge, where wildlife abounds in its natural habitat. BigSky is known for its welcoming atmosphere and dedicated volunteers who ensure every runner feels supported throughout their journey.
Registration opens at 6:30 am with race bib distribution, followed by start times of 7:15 am (ultramarathon), 7:20 am (marathon), and 7:30 am (18 miles). Mandatory kit includes carrying a minimum of 500ml fluid, suitable clothing for changing weather conditions, and a GPX file download is strongly recommended.
Participants can also take advantage of Precision Fuel & Hydration products at aid stations to optimize their performance. BigSky promises an exhilarating blend of scenic beauty, challenging terrain, and supportive community spirit that will leave runners inspired long after the race concludes.
