BIG LIME OPEN WATER SWIM 2026

Located at Maritime Avenue within the picturesque Hartlepool Marina (TS24 0XF), participants will enjoy the scenic coastal setting while swimming alongside fellow enthusiasts. The dedicated team of lifeguards and on-site medical support ensure that everyone can swim with confidence, knowing they are in safe hands throughout the event.
Swimmers have two distance options to choose from: a short but sweet 750m course or an endurance-focused 1,500m route designed for those seeking a more substantial challenge. Both distances offer stunning views of the marina and its surroundings, providing a memorable backdrop as you make your way through the water.
Participants are advised that while wetsuits may not be necessary due to expected warm August temperatures, they can enhance both comfort and safety in open waters. For added convenience, free parking is available at Hartlepool Marina for all event attendees.
Upon crossing the finish line, swimmers will receive an exclusive event medal along with a selection of Wild Deer merchandise as well as refreshments including snacks and drinks to help you recharge after your swim.
