About the Event
The Bieg Niepodległości, organized by the Grom Association at Park Skaryszewski, invites runners and walkers of all ages to participate in this vibrant celebration on October 24, 2026. Registration and packet pickup begin at 9:00 AM with the distribution center open until 11:45 AM. At 9:50 AM, participants will join in singing the national anthem to kick off the day's festivities. The program then transitions into a series of races designed specifically for young athletes, with events ranging from 200 meters up to 1000 meters. These include a sprint for those aged seven to nine years old starting at 10:35 AM and an endurance race for children between thirteen and fifteen years old beginning at 10:15 AM. After the conclusion of all children's races, adult runners take center stage with the main event kicking off at noon. Participants will experience a scenic route through Park Skaryszewski, showcasing its lush greenery and historic landmarks as they navigate the challenging yet rewarding 5-kilometer course. The march follows closely behind at 12:03 PM. The day concludes around 14:00 with awards ceremonies for both the race winners and those participating in the march, recognizing their achievements and contributions to this memorable event. This family-friendly gathering promises not only competitive racing but also a celebration of community spirit and athletic achievement. Whether you're an experienced runner or simply looking for a fun day out, Bieg Niepodległości offers something special for everyone involved. For those interested in bringing the youngest members along, children's races are available at no cost to participants under six years old through thirteen-year-olds, providing them with their own opportunities to shine on race day.
