The Annual Youth Race Day is set to energize the community on November 7, 2026. The morning kicks off with registration and packet pickup from 10:15 AM until noon, setting an enthusiastic tone for the day's events. At 10:50 AM, a ceremonial opening featuring the national anthem ushers in the excitement.
The youngest racers take to the track starting at 11:00 AM with girls and boys aged 7-8 years competing over distances of 200 meters each. This is followed by similar races for children ages 9-10, running 400 meters. Prizes are awarded immediately after these events.
As the day progresses, more challenging age groups take their turns on the track: girls and boys aged 11-12 compete over 800 meters at 11:35 AM, while those ages 13-14 run distances of 1000 meters. The afternoon brings races for older teenagers with 1200-meter runs for both genders in the 15-17 age category.
A highlight is the Family Race starting at 12:45 PM where parents or guardians team up with children aged 12 and under to run a fun-filled 400 meters together. This event celebrates family participation and community spirit.
The day's finale features two impressive events, both kicking off just after 1:30 PM: the Main Race for runners aged 16 years and older covering an exhilarating 5000-meter distance, followed closely by a Nordic Walking march of 2500 meters. Both conclude with a patriotic performance as participants gather to sing their national anthem.
The day wraps up at around 2:45 PM when awards are presented for the open categories in both the main race and Nordic walking competition, marking another successful year for this beloved community event.
