The longer route offers an extensive exploration beyond city limits, weaving through picturesque countryside before returning to the heart of Glasgow for a triumphant finish on Glasgow Green. The 25km option provides a condensed yet scenic experience, perfect for those seeking a memorable day out with less distance but no compromise in beauty or challenge.
Each course is meticulously marked and supported by friendly marshals who will guide you through every step. Feed stations are strategically placed to ensure runners stay fueled throughout their journey. Participants should come prepared with essential items such as a running backpack, hydration gear, snacks like energy gels, an emergency contact saved on their mobile phone, and additional layers for changing weather conditions.
Start times vary by distance, ensuring smooth traffic management across the event. The 55km runners will set off in waves from 8am to 8:30am, while the 25km participants begin at intervals between 10am and 10:30am. Safety is paramount, with cut-off times established for both distances to ensure a well-managed event.
