Beshtaugorskiy Krest 2027

TreylFest invites runners to explore the breathtaking peaks of Beshtau Mountain, located at 1400 meters above sea level within the Caucasus Mineral Waters region. This two-day festival offers challenging trails with steep climbs and descents through rocky outcrops, grassy slopes, and muddy terrain. The race routes wind through dramatic cliffs and dense forests, offering stunning panoramic views of sixteen surrounding lakes, the Greater Caucasus Range, and Mount Elbrus.
The main event on April 3rd is the "Krest" route, a grueling 17-kilometer trek that takes runners across all five summits of Beshtau Mountain. Participants start from an expo area at the mountain's base, ascending to each peak in turn before descending back down for the finish line. The course features steep ascents and descents with over 2000 meters of elevation gain. A more demanding version is "Krest Plus," stretching 23 kilometers with a total climb of 3000 meters.
On April 4th, runners can tackle the scenic "Travers" route covering three peaks in succession: Kozi Skaly, Bolshoy Tau, and Malaya Tau over 15 kilometers with 1100 meters of elevation gain. This is considered one of the most visually stunning courses at TreylFest.
Volunteers provide aid stations along key points on all routes, ensuring that runners have access to water and snacks throughout their journey. Participants must bring mandatory gear for safety and a medical clearance stating they are fit for trail running or mountain races of their chosen distance. Additionally, "Chistyy Beshtau," an environmental cleanup event, challenges teams to collect as much trash from the trails within two hours post-start time.
TreylFest is not just about competition but also celebrating nature’s beauty and preserving it for future generations.
