Bennington Museum 250th Half

Step back into history as the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution comes alive through this special half-marathon event, honoring the pivotal Battle of Bennington fought in 1777. The race retraces the strategic movement of General John Stark and his troops from their headquarters at Catamount Tavern to the battlefield site.
Covering a challenging yet scenic 13.1-mile course, runners will traverse landscapes rich with historical significance, reflecting on the bravery and determination that marked this critical period in American history. This USATF-certified race features chip timing for an accurate record of your performance as you navigate through terrain that evokes the spirit of those who fought centuries ago.
Proceeds from the event support educational programming at Bennington Museum, ensuring that future generations can learn about and appreciate these historic milestones. Participants are reminded that by entering this race, they grant permission to Bennington Museum for their images and recordings taken during the event to be used in various forms of promotion without any compensation.
Registration fees vary: $80 for members and $120 (or more if registering after April 1st) for non-members. For those who wish to contribute financially but not run, a fundraising bib is available with a minimum commitment of $250 raised through the designated page. Volunteers are also welcome to join in supporting this meaningful event.
