About the Event

The 2026 Beijing Municipal Administrative Center (MC) Marathon is a signature road race in Beijing’s Tongzhou District, scheduled for Sunday, April 19, 2026. This event serves as a showcase for the "sub-center" of the capital, highlighting the transition from the historic Grand Canal to the sleek, modern urban landmarks of the administrative zone. Recently upgraded to a full marathon, the race draws 15,000 runners to a course known for being exceptionally flat and fast, making it a favorite for those seeking personal bests in a scenic, water-front setting.

The route traditionally begins at Sikong Fenshu Street and concludes at the Tongzhou campus of the Renmin University of China. Along the 42.195km journey, participants pass cultural icons such as the Randeng Pagoda and traverse the lush greenery of the Grand Canal Forest Park. Organized under the guidance of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports, the event is designed to promote the "integrated development" of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, blending high-level athletic competition with the growing vitality of Tongzhou’s new urban landscape.
