About the Event

Experience the charm of Ashland, Nebraska during The Beer & Bagel Nebraska 4-mile and/or 10-mile Run. This annual race invites runners to explore the town’s picturesque off-road trails on October 25th. Race morning is marked by mild temperatures, typically ranging from a comfortable 15°C (60°F) to a brisker 20°C (70°F), making for ideal racing conditions.
Participants gather at Ashland Central Park, where excitement builds as the start line comes alive with cheers and anticipation. The course takes runners through rolling woodlands, offering firm yet slightly soft terrain that provides both challenge and enjoyment. For those seeking a more substantial distance, the 10-mile route is a highlight of the event, drawing athletes from across Nebraska.
The shorter option, a 4-mile run, caters to seasoned long-distance enthusiasts as well as newcomers looking for a moderate challenge. The course weaves through Ashland’s scenic landscapes, passing historic downtown buildings and looping back towards central park where the race begins and ends. Strategically placed aid stations ensure hydration and nutrition are always within reach.
On race day, expect temperatures between 10°C (50°F) to 20°C (70°F), with an average wind speed of approximately 9.8 mph—conditions that may feel brisk but remain manageable for runners. Early bird registration prices are available until October 5th: $53.78 for the 4-mile run and $72.23 for the 10-mile option, while regular rates start from $69.73.
Participants should arrive at Ashland Central Park between 7:00 AM and 7:50 AM to collect their bibs; photo ID may be required along with any necessary documents. For first-timers, an age requirement of 18 years or older applies for both distances. Join us as we celebrate a course that challenges while rewarding runners with Ashland's natural beauty and the satisfaction of supporting local causes.
