BALTIC X HORIZON HIKE 2027

Embark on the Baltic X Horizon Hike 2027, an invigorating journey along the scenic shores of Germany’s Baltic Sea. Spanning 42.5 kilometers from Königsstuhl National Park Center to Binz, this event offers a blend of coastal beauty and natural splendor. Participants will traverse chalk cliffs, beech forests, and expansive fields while being serenaded by the rhythmic sound of waves.
Registration is mandatory at Haus des Gastes in Binz on April 9 from 17:00 to 19:00 or early morning on race day from 3:00 to 3:45. The hike officially begins with a shuttle bus departure from the registration site, transporting participants to the start line at Königsstuhl National Park Center by 5:00 AM.
The route winds through picturesque locations such as Viktoria-Sicht and Wissower Ufer before reaching Feuerstein Fields and Granitz. The terrain is diverse yet challenging, requiring sturdy footwear and good physical fitness from participants. Recommended gear includes weatherproof clothing, food and water supplies, a phone with the Sportstiming app installed for official timing, and reflective accessories for visibility.
Upon crossing the finish line in Binz around 1:00 PM, enjoy an award ceremony celebrating the top three male and female runners. The festivities continue with music and a campfire until the course closes at 5:30 PM. All participants receive a finisher medal and certificate, while winners are awarded trophies and prize money.
