Backyard Ultra Solidaire

The Backyard Ultra Solidaire, presented by Parc des Sommets and fueled by Xact Nutrition, invites runners of all levels to join an inclusive 24-hour endurance challenge on June 26-27, 2027. This event offers two distinct formats: the competitive "U" format for those seeking individual performance and a supportive "S" format where participants can run at their own pace without fear of elimination.
The U-format challenges runners to complete each loop in under an hour, with eliminations occurring if they miss a start time or exceed the limit. The S-format allows flexibility, enabling runners to join loops as often as desired without pressure to compete for rankings. Both formats celebrate perseverance and community spirit, with live DJ sets and food trucks creating a festive atmosphere.
Participants can enjoy scenic trails at Parc des Sommets, covering 5.2 kilometers per loop with an elevation gain of 133 meters. The event features continuous support services including parking, camping facilities, BBQ areas, restrooms, and hydration stations provided by Xact Nutrition for the full day. Additionally, runners will receive goodie bags filled with surprises from Ultra partners.
By signing up, participants agree to a waiver acknowledging inherent risks associated with trail running, such as extreme weather conditions or fatigue-related injuries. All proceeds from donations made through The BU Effect fundraising platform go towards supporting healthy and inclusive sports development initiatives in the community.
The Backyard Ultra Solidaire is more than just a race; it's an experience that fosters camaraderie and personal growth amidst stunning natural surroundings at Parc des Sommets.
