AV Horror's winterloop

The Winterloper race series, organized every first Sunday of the month from December to March, invites runners to choose between two scenic routes: a 5 km course and a more challenging 10.3 km loop through the picturesque landscapes around AV Horror's sport park. For younger participants, there’s also a youth event with separate courses for juniors (2700 meters), pupillen (1300 meters), and framerunners (770 meters). Juniors aged 14 and older can opt to join the main 5 km race as well. Early registrants receive a special AV Horror hand towel this year, while day-of registration is also available at the club's kantine for those who prefer to sign up last minute.
The event promises an invigorating morning start with juniors beginning their run at 10:00 AM and pupillen following shortly after. Upon crossing the finish line, all participants are greeted with a hearty bowl of snert (a traditional Dutch winter soup) while younger runners enjoy sweet treats to fuel them up.
Registration for pre-registered entrants is open until December 5, 2026, offering early sign-ups a discount on entry fees compared to day-of registration. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience this unique blend of sport and community spirit in AV Horror’s winter wonderland!
