Autumn 100

The Autumn 100, a grueling yet scenic trail race, unfolds along the picturesque Thames Path and Ridgeway National Trails between Goring and Streatley. Starting at dawn on October 16, 2027, runners embark on four distinct out-and-back segments totaling 100 miles. The route’s layout mirrors a cross, offering varied terrain that challenges both body and spirit.
The journey begins with an easy stretch along the Thames Path to Little Wittenham before doubling back towards Goring. A more rugged second leg follows, leading runners through Swyncombe Farm on the Ridgeway trail, showcasing Britain's quintessential countryside views. Further west lies Chain Hill, where competitors face another ascent and descent before returning for their final push.
Ideal conditions under a clear sky make this race one of the fastest in the UK, but autumn’s unpredictability adds an element of adventure: darkness falls early, temperatures drop, and weather can turn wet and windy. Despite these challenges, runners are well-supported by 16 aid stations stocked with essentials, medical assistance at every corner, and clearly marked courses.
Participants will experience a blend of historical landmarks, lush greenery, and dramatic landscapes as they complete this challenging yet rewarding race under the auspices of UK Athletics through TRA approval.
