AURA Nytårsløbene 2026

Experience the charming autumn atmosphere of Aarhus at the Aura Run on November 8, 2026. This scenic race invites runners to explore Marselisborg Forest as its vibrant fall colors paint a picturesque backdrop for both competitive and leisurely runs. The event offers two distances: a 5 km loop that challenges participants with opportunities to set new personal records, or the longer 10 km option which doubles up on the same route.
The race starts at Havreballe Skovvej 11 in Aarhus C, where runners can enjoy a peaceful morning among nature. Whether you're aiming for speed or simply out for a leisurely stroll with family and friends, this event promises an enjoyable experience amidst autumn's beauty. The registration fee is DKK 199 regardless of distance, while children under the age of 15 pay DKK 125.
For those looking to continue the festive spirit into winter, don't miss out on the Lysløb (Light Run) and Adventsløb events later in November and December respectively. These nighttime runs through Tivoli Friheden and Aarhus' historic streets are a magical blend of light displays and community celebration.
Runners can look forward to an enchanting evening at the Light Run on November 19, where paths lit by lanterns and colorful lights guide participants as they enjoy a cozy night filled with warmth and camaraderie. The Adventsløb offers runners the chance to explore Aarhus' beautifully decorated streets during the advent season early in December.
Each event promises an unforgettable experience that combines physical activity with cultural enjoyment, making it perfect for all ages and abilities.
