Arrowhead Endurance Run

Nestled in Johnston City, Illinois, just a short drive north of Marion, the Arrowhead Lake Campground hosts an exhilarating running event on October 9, 2027. The race features a certified 2.07-mile loop around serene Arrowhead Lake, providing runners with a smooth and fast course thanks to its mostly gravel trail and minimal elevation changes.
Participants can look forward to chip timing by SoILL Racing for accurate results. Race day offers various options from the grueling 24-hour endurance challenge starting at 5:30 AM to shorter races like the 12-hour, 6-hour, 3-hour, and even a night race beginning at 7 PM. All finishers who register before September 27 will receive custom event shirts, while those completing an official lap earn a unique medal. For the ultra-runners aiming for greatness, buckles are awarded to anyone finishing over 100 miles within the 24-hour timeframe.
The campground's aid station is centrally located at the start/finish area and stocked with essential supplies such as chips, candy, fruit, cookies, electrolyte options, water, and hot food. Runners are encouraged to bring their own dietary necessities if they have specific requirements. Camping is available right on-site for those who wish to experience a full immersion in the event's spirit.
Race day starts early at 5:30 AM with packet pickup followed by race start times that cater to all types of runners, ensuring everyone has an opportunity to participate and enjoy the scenic loop around Arrowhead Lake. The event concludes at 7:00 AM on October 10th, marking a memorable finish for those who push their limits.
