Armidale Running Festival

The Armidale Running Festival returns as a vibrant celebration of community spirit and athletic camaraderie. Set against the backdrop of high-altitude beauty, this festival offers a range of events catering to all ages and abilities, from 1km fun runs for children to challenging half marathons. The heart of the event is Civic Park, where live music, local cuisine stalls, and an expansive market create a festive atmosphere that extends beyond just running.
On Saturday, runners can choose between various distances including three separate 1km events, followed by races at 3km, 5km, and 10km. The following day features the half marathon, drawing participants from far and wide to experience Armidale's scenic landscapes. For those seeking an extra challenge, a golden ticket event allows entry into every race throughout the weekend, with combined times determining overall champions.
The festival is not just about competition; it’s also a family-friendly affair with kids' activities, play areas, picnic zones, and relaxation spots scattered around Civic Park. This inclusive approach ensures that everyone can enjoy Armidale's welcoming spirit and active lifestyle in style.
With its blend of athletic challenge and community celebration, the Armidale Running Festival is an unmissable event for runners and families alike, showcasing what makes this high-altitude town truly special.
