ARC Irene Road Run/Walk - 7 November 2026

On November 7, 2026, runners of all ages are invited to experience the scenic ARC Irene Run/Walk at the Agricultural Research Centre (ARC) Irene. The race offers various distances including 3km, 5km, 10km, 15km, and a challenging 21km route for those seeking an extra push.
Registration begins early with doors opening at 5:40 AM, allowing participants ample time to register before the group start at 6:30 AM. For individuals who prefer a later start, registration remains open until 7:30 AM. All runners must be aware of the cut-off times; those on longer distances like the 15km and 21km routes are required to join the initial wave.
The venue is situated in Centurion's Doornkloof area behind Southdowns, easily accessible via Nelmapius Drive with clear GPS directions available online. Participants should note that upon arrival at ARC Irene’s entrance gate, they may encounter a closed gate but rest assured it will be opened promptly once the vehicle hoots or waits patiently.
The race course is marked and well-supported throughout its run with water stations along the way to keep runners hydrated during their journey through this picturesque setting. Upon crossing the finish line at 10:30 AM, all participants are rewarded with a finisher medal while enjoying post-race refreshments in the clubhouse provided by Irene Athletics Club.
For those who prefer walking or hiking, options for shorter distances like 2km and beyond allow everyone to enjoy the event’s unique atmosphere. While pets aren’t allowed on this occasion, runners can look forward to amenities such as parking and a venue entry fee that includes vitality points upon registration completion.
