About the Event

Join the University of Alberta and Campus & Community Recreation for the Annual Turkey Trot, an exciting pre-Thanksgiving run that aims to raise funds and awareness for the Campus Food Bank Society. This year’s race is dedicated to supporting students by offering early-bird registration until August 31st exclusively to those enrolled in classes during the 2026/2027 academic year.
After September 1st, regular-priced registrations will open up to employees, alumni, and members of the public. The event promises a lively atmosphere with activities such as a fun fair and opportunities to win prizes. All participants will receive a post-race pancake breakfast and a commemorative Turkey Trot T-shirt upon completion of their run.
The Campus Food Bank Society is an essential resource for students in need, providing food assistance throughout the academic year. By participating in this event, runners contribute directly to supporting fellow students facing financial hardships.
