ALUMINIO BACKYARD ULTRA

On December 5, 2026, the Alumínio Backyard Ultra invites endurance athletes to test their limits on Edésio Marinho de Melo Avenue in São Paulo. Part of Lazarus Lake's global Backyard Ultra series, this event challenges competitors with a unique format where participants must complete laps within an hour or be eliminated from contention. Each lap covers 6.705 kilometers through varied terrain that accumulates around 70 meters of elevation gain per loop.
The race begins promptly at 8:00 AM and continues hourly until only one runner remains standing. Competitors gather for a new start every full hour, with strict rules prohibiting pacers or external support except in emergencies. Runners are encouraged to assist each other but must adhere to the pace of their peers as they vie for survival on the course.
Registration fees range from R$329.99 to R$399.99 depending on whether participants opt for the additional pasta dinner, and all finishers who complete at least two laps receive personalized medals. The top male and female runners earn exclusive "Last One Standing" trophies as a testament to their perseverance.
Set against the backdrop of Alumínio's picturesque landscape, this Backyard Ultra offers more than just a physical challenge; it’s an experience that pushes mental fortitude to its limits in a supportive yet competitive environment.
