Altra Brighton Half Marathon

The Brighton Half Marathon is a beloved annual running event that has evolved from grassroots origins into a major community-driven race. Now managed by The Sussex Beacon, a local HIV charity, the half marathon attracts more than 10,000 runners each year who come to experience its lively and supportive atmosphere in one of England's most runner-friendly cities.
The course is renowned for being relatively flat, making it an ideal setting for those looking to achieve personal best times. Runners will pass through Brighton’s historic streets lined with iconic Regency architecture, including the grand Royal Pavilion. The route also features stunning clifftop views and culminates in a spectacular finish along the city's bustling seafront.
Participants can enjoy the vibrant energy of large crowds cheering them on throughout their journey, creating an unforgettable race day experience that celebrates both athletic achievement and community spirit.
The event not only offers runners the chance to explore Brighton’s rich cultural heritage but also supports a worthy cause through its partnership with The Sussex Beacon. Whether you're aiming for your fastest half marathon time or simply looking to enjoy a scenic run, the Brighton Half Marathon promises an engaging day out in this picturesque coastal city.
