About the Event

The sixth edition of the "Alpenstadt City&Trail" race returns on June 5, 2027, offering runners three distinct challenges: two city courses and one mountain trail.
On that day, the event kicks off with the challenging Hochstaufen-Trailrun at 10:00 AM from the Rathausplatz in Alpenstadt. This course is designed for experienced trail runners who will tackle a grueling route of approximately 19 kilometers with an elevation gain of around 1,400 meters. The ascent follows the demanding "Steinerne Jäger" path before descending via the Normalroute to Barthlmad.
Later in the afternoon at 5:30 PM, runners have two options for shorter courses starting and finishing at Rathausplatz as well. First up is a longer city trail run covering about 9.7 kilometers with an elevation gain of roughly 230 meters, followed by a more accessible option – a 5.5-kilometer route with around 100 meters in elevation change designed for runners looking to dip their toes into the world of trail running.
Additionally, children get their chance to shine at 4:00 PM when they take on a fun and short course measuring about 700 meters long.
A new feature this year includes team competition with mixed-gender teams consisting of three members. All teammates must finish together for their combined time to count towards the standings.
Participants will receive various gifts, including running gloves from DARE2B (except children), who also offer early bird registrants a backpack as an added bonus if they sign up among the first 111 runners.
