Almindingsløbet 2027

Join the 57th edition of Almindingsløb, a beloved tradition on Bornholm set to take place on September 25, 2027. This scenic race offers runners and walkers multiple routes through lush forest trails and some paved paths. The main event features an 8 km run for adults, while there's also a 6 km walk option available.
For the younger participants, a fun 2.6 km route starts at 14:15, specifically designed to cater to children under 15 years old. All races start and finish in the same location with an atmosphere that encourages everyone—from seasoned runners to casual walkers—to enjoy a day out in nature.
The course is known for its varied terrain, offering both challenging hills and serene stretches through Bornholm's beautiful forests. Participants will experience breathtaking natural scenery as they navigate winding paths and encounter charming woodland landscapes along the way.
Entry fees range from 50 kr for children under 15 to 60 kr for adults on all routes except the short walk which costs just 40 kr. Race day registration opens at noon, allowing you to pick up your chip timing device and start number directly from the event site.
In addition to a memorable run or walk through nature, participants can look forward to prizes such as fruit provided by Rema1000 and half-liter bottles of water, along with raffle draws for various giveaways. Each finisher will receive an online downloadable diploma and complimentary access to race photos.
This year's event is organized by Viking Atletik, inviting you to be a part of this cherished community gathering in the heart of Bornholm’s natural beauty.
Participants are encouraged to take advantage of training sessions leading up to the event. These group runs start at 18:00 every Thursday from the first week of August until race day, meeting near Lilleborg (east). The trainings provide an excellent opportunity for runners and walkers alike to prepare in a supportive environment.
