This is an unique opportunity to get to know Timber Pointe, a gem in our backyard. Timber Pointe, which is owned by Easter Seals, provides special needs and inclusive camp sessions for children and adults ages 7 and up. Campers participate in traditional camp activities such as swimming, fishing, boating, arts & crafts, target sports, music, and horseback riding. It is an experience of outdoor life for kids and adults whose health issues make these activities often seem impossible. To help support Timber Pointe we would like to strongly recommend a donation to the camp for the day. Any amount is welcomed, though at least ten dollars is strongly encouraged.
We plan to host a variety of options for this event, including running, bicycling (including a new gravel route) and there will be access to trails within the camp, if you would like to hike a few miles. We will provide lunch to all of those in attendance, in an outdoor setting around a campfire or inside of Stern Lodge in case of inclement weather conditions. We are using this registration from to save you time upon arrival with release forms and also to provide an accurate account for food and beverages for all participants. Runsignup QR code registrations will be available the day of the event too.
Versus charging a service fee for your donation, you can bring check made out to Timber Pointe Outdoor Center, or a cash donation is also welcome. Please bring your check to the event on Saturday.
