9ª CORRIDA CONTRA O CÂNCER - 2026

On November 22, 2026, the ninth edition of the Corrida Contra o Câncer – Correndo pela Vida will take place in Macapá, Amapá. Organized by ONG Carlos Daniel and sanctioned by the Federação de Atletismo do Amapá (FAAP), this 6 km race starts and finishes directly in front of MPAP on Rua do Araxá.
Participants can look forward to a scenic route through the heart of Macapá, with vibrant cityscapes and local landmarks along the way. The event is designed for runners aged 16 years or older, offering an inclusive atmosphere that encourages community support and awareness for cancer prevention and treatment.
Registration opens on August 27, 2026, and closes either when all slots are filled—up to a maximum of 1500 participants—or by November 1, 2026. Early bird rates start at R$75 until September 20th or once the first batch fills up.
A key highlight is the mandatory donation of one kilogram of non-perishable food items upon kit collection, which will be distributed to those in need through local charities. Additionally, athletes with disabilities receive a significant discount on their registration fees as part of the event's commitment to accessibility and inclusivity.
The race route itself features strategically placed hydration stations along its 6 km path, ensuring runners stay hydrated throughout. All participants are encouraged to respect the course markers and adhere strictly to the designated routes for safety reasons. The organizers reserve the right to halt or modify the race in extreme weather conditions that might endanger athletes.
