1ª CORRIDA DA FAVELA

On November 7, 2026, the inaugural Corrida da Favela will take place in Macapá, Amapá, Brazil. This community-driven race covers a distance of 5 km and starts and finishes at Praça da Samaúma within the Araxá complex. Organized by CUFA Amapá (Central Única das Favelas), with official approval from the Federação de Atletismo do Amapá, this event combines athletic competition with a social initiative to support local communities.
Participants must bring one new toy at registration for distribution through community programs organized by CUFA. The race is open to athletes aged 14 and older as of December 31, 2026, with discounted entry fees available for seniors over the age of 60. A social quota offers free spots to eligible amadores who can prove their status via CadÚnico.
Registration opens on September 16, 2026, and closes November 4 or when the limit of 500 participants is reached. Entries are non-transferable but cancellations may be requested within seven days post-purchase by contacting the organizers at [email protected].
The race route features water stations along its scenic course through Macapá's vibrant neighborhoods, ensuring runners stay hydrated during their run. The event promises an engaging atmosphere with a mix of community spirit and athletic challenge.
