On December 13, 2026, the Supermercado Sonda parking lot in Vila Rio, Guarulhos/SP, will host an exciting family-friendly running event tailored for young athletes. The race features a variety of distances designed to cater to different age groups and skill levels.
Registration opens on July 20, 2026, with limited spots available up until the day before the event if spaces remain. Participants can sign up through Ticket Sports at minhadowneup.com.br/runkids. The race offers four distinct categories: a 50m sprint for children aged 2 to 4 years old; a 100m dash for kids aged 5 to 7; an intermediate 200m run for ages 8 to 10, and finally, a challenging 300m event for older youth between the ages of 11 and 12. The oldest group competes in a 400m race.
The day starts at 8:00 AM with the venue opening its doors to all participants until noon. Each competitor must be ready to start their assigned heat half an hour before it begins, ensuring everyone is prepared for the adrenaline-filled experience ahead. Race officials will distribute kits on December 12th, and any participant not collecting theirs by then risks missing out.
The race day atmosphere promises a vibrant setting with enthusiastic families cheering from the sidelines as young athletes dash along the specially set-up track in their respective age categories. Every finisher receives a participation medal upon crossing the line, symbolizing achievement and encouragement for future athletic endeavors. Additionally, all participants are treated to a post-race kit including snacks and refreshments.
This event is not just about racing; it's an opportunity for families to come together, celebrate the joy of running, and support each other in friendly competition under the guidance of experienced organizers who prioritize safety above all else.
