Join us for the sixth edition of "Foulées VIIKINGS," organized by the VIIKINGS association on September 26, 2026. This family-friendly and supportive race offers two scenic courses through the lush landscapes around Indre: MIDGARD (5 km) for casual runners looking to enjoy a leisurely pace in nature, and ASGARD (10 km), designed for more experienced athletes who crave a challenge. In addition to these main events, there are two new Marches encadrées named JÖTUHEIM. These 7km and 10km routes wind through the charming trails of Roche Ballue, providing runners with an engaging journey through varied terrain and beautiful scenery. For younger participants, this year introduces a fun-filled KM festif event, where kids aged 7 to 14 are encouraged to dress up in costumes. Two separate starts will ensure that all age groups can participate comfortably: one at 13h15 for those between the ages of 7 and 10, followed by another start at 13h30 for participants from 11 to 14 years old. A special addition this year is a mini-Viikings course (accompanied) designed just for children aged 4-6. This unique event allows the youngest runners to join in on the fun, dressed up and ready to run, right before their older siblings or cousins take off. All races begin at the Village VIIKINGS located at Salle des 3 îles - 5 rue des Chaintres in Indre (44610). The race entry fees will contribute directly towards cancer research for children. The event promises a day filled with activities and entertainment, including wooden games, free rides on an amusement ride, as well as food stands offering refreshments throughout the afternoon. This makes it not just a running competition but also a community gathering where families can enjoy time together while supporting a worthy cause.
