3rd Minchikabochi Full Marathon, Shimizuichibatacho (第3回 南伊豆町みちくさぼちぼちフルマラソン)

Step into the leisurely world of Japan's most relaxed full marathon, where the focus is on enjoyment rather than speed. Scheduled for November 14, 2026, this unique race offers runners nine hours to complete the 42.195km course at their own pace. The event features twelve special aid stations along the way, each serving local cuisine that promises a taste of regional flavors and traditions.
The atmosphere is laid-back and festive, encouraging participants to take in the scenic routes while savoring the journey rather than racing against time. With no ranking awards given out, there's no pressure to compete; instead, runners are invited to embrace the spirit of travel and exploration. For those who cross the finish line within five hours, however, they will be disqualified from receiving any official recognition.
Adding a touch of fun and creativity, the race also includes a cosplay prize for participants who dress up in costumes, making it an event that celebrates both athleticism and imagination. Whether you're looking to leisurely enjoy scenic routes or simply have a unique running experience, this marathon offers an unforgettable blend of relaxation and adventure.
Enjoy the journey at your own pace on November 14, 2026!
