3ª CORRIDA DE NOSSA SENHORA APARECIDA

About the Event

On October 12, 2026, the third edition of the Corrida de Nossa Senhora Aparecida will take place at the Diocesan Sanctuary of Our Lady Aparecida and Paróquia São Sebastião in Ponta Grossa, Paraná. This charitable event offers both a 5km run and a 10km race, alongside a family-friendly walk and a kids' running segment.
Participants gather early for the start at Igreja São Sebastião on Rua Coronel Generoso Martins de Araújo, with runners setting off at 6:30 AM followed by walkers at 6:32 AM. The children's race begins at 8:00 AM to ensure a safe and enjoyable morning atmosphere for all ages.
The route winds through the scenic streets of Ponta Grossa, offering glimpses of local landmarks and neighborhoods as participants navigate varied terrain that includes stretches along tree-lined avenues and quieter residential areas. Water stations are strategically placed every 2.5km for the shorter race, and at 5km and 7.5km intervals for those tackling the longer distance.
This event aims to bring together the community in celebration of Our Lady Aparecida's Day while promoting health through physical activity and raising funds for charitable causes. The proceeds will support food donations distributed by Paróquia São Sebastião to those in need, as well as aid in reconstructing local churches.
