About the Event

The annual running festival in Gampern is set to take place on September 4, 2027, offering runners of all ages and abilities an exciting day filled with various races and activities. The event will be held at the Vierkanter Sports Center, where participants can collect their race numbers starting from Thursday, September 1st, until Saturday before the race.
The entry fees range from €5 for children and youth to €10 for hobby runners supporting a good cause, with additional categories available as well. For those who register on-site at the Vierkanter Sports Center, there is an extra fee of €2 if registration occurs less than one hour prior to their race start time.
The day's events kick off early in the afternoon with races designed for young participants and continue through a variety of age-specific categories. The Knirpse category features 200-meter sprints for both boys and girls born in or after 2021, while older children compete over longer distances such as the Schüler C race at 1000 meters.
The highlight of the day is undoubtedly the main races that start simultaneously at 3:30 PM. These include a youth category covering 10 kilometers for those aged between 2007 and 2010, and an all-ages event with several age groups ranging from 1997 to 1956 competing over the same distance.
In addition to these races, there is also a special hobby race that benefits children's athletic programs in Gampern. This longer-distance run covers approximately 5.25 kilometers and culminates in awards for those who achieve an average time closest to the overall median pace of all participants.
The day concludes with prize-giving ceremonies at Vierkanter Sports Center, where trophies, medals, and other prizes are awarded. Notable giveaways include bicycles for children's races, gift certificates from local sports shops, and even a weekend car rental courtesy of Autohaus Eder Weyregg/Frankenmarkt.
This event promises to be an engaging day filled with competitive spirit, community involvement, and fun activities suitable for runners of all levels. Don't miss out on the chance to join in this festive celebration of running!
