2º CORRIDA COM PROPÓSITO

On January 31, 2027, the second edition of the Purposeful Run will take place along the picturesque avenue Litorânea in São Luis, Maranhão. This race is organized by SBH EVENTOS – MA and aims to promote environmental awareness through a scenic run that values nature over mere competition.
Participants aged 14 years and older can look forward to an invigorating 5km course that winds through the vibrant streets of São Luis, culminating at Praça do Pescador. Meanwhile, younger athletes between 6 and 13 years old will enjoy a shorter race ranging from 300m to 800m.
The event promises not only competitive racing but also an opportunity for runners to reflect on the importance of environmental preservation. The atmosphere is expected to be lively with participants of all ages, genders, and abilities coming together in support of this meaningful cause.
All finishers will receive a beautifully crafted medal shaped like a Guará bird, symbolizing nature's beauty and resilience. For those who cross the finish line within two hours, there are additional rewards including trophies for the top five male and female overall winners as well as age-group awards every ten years up to 99.
The race day kicks off with early morning activities: registration opens at 5:30 AM followed by a prompt start time of 6:00 AM. This event celebrates both athletic achievement and environmental stewardship, making it an unforgettable experience for runners from São Luis and beyond.
