2nd Hwang Young-jo Road Race

On December 6, 2026, the Ara Tower area at Gyeongin Ara Waterway Passenger Terminal will host the second edition of the Hwang Young-jo Road Race. This event promises to attract up to 5,000 runners eager to participate in either the half marathon or the 10km race. Entry is on a first-come, first-served basis and requires an entry fee of KRW 50,000 for both distances.
Participants will gather at 8:00 a.m., with the races starting promptly at 9:00 a.m. The half marathon route challenges runners who are healthy men and women aged 18 or older to complete the course within their best possible time, divided into two groups based on performance expectations—A Group for those aiming under one hour thirty minutes and B Group for everyone else. For the more casual runner looking for an enjoyable distance without strict age restrictions, the 10km race offers a scenic route with similar group divisions.
The event provides all runners with essential items such as a souvenir, bib number, finisher medal, snack upon completion, online result certificate, and timing chip to ensure accurate records of each participant's achievement. Additionally, groups entering twenty or more individuals will receive the added benefit of having their own tent on site for convenience during race day.
