24TimerVedHavet 2027

The 24 Timer ved Havet, held annually since its inception by local enthusiasts in 2014, welcomes runners of all ages and skill levels to the scenic coastal town of Sæby. This versatile race offers various distances including half-marathon, marathon, as well as options for a single runner or relay teams over 3, 6, 12, or even 24-hour durations.
The course is meticulously designed with a loop measuring precisely 1985 meters, allowing participants to quickly return to the start point and enjoy multiple laps. The terrain includes grass, gravel, asphalt, and cobblestone surfaces, providing a challenging yet manageable route for both runners and walkers alike.
For those competing in the Danish Championships (DM) segment of this event, registration now requires affiliation with a club registered under the Dansk Atletik Forbund (DAF). However, participants can join NUTS - Nordjysk Ultra- og trailløberselskab to meet these requirements. Notably, there is no obligation for runners to wear official club attire.
Upon completion of their chosen distance, all participants receive a medal at the information tent. In addition to this, DM competitors vie for gold, silver, and bronze medals in both senior and masters categories. Relay teams also compete for trophies awarded based on performance over 3, 6, 12, or 24-hour intervals.
The event utilizes timing chips for accurate electronic timekeeping throughout the course, ensuring fair competition across all distances and relay options. With its blend of scenic coastal views and varied terrain, the 24 Timer ved Havet offers a unique challenge and memorable experience for runners from around Denmark and beyond.
