2027 Frosty 5K

Join us on Saturday, January 30, 2027, for the 28th Annual Frosty 5K & Dog Walk along Peoria's scenic Riverfront Trail. This year’s edition of the beloved race promises a chilly yet invigorating start at 9:00 am in front of RC Outfitters on SW Water Street.
The event kicks off with an energizing atmosphere as runners and their canine companions gather to tackle the challenging but rewarding course through Peoria's picturesque waterfront. Immediately following the 5K run, participants can join a leisurely one-mile walk designed for those who wish to enjoy the scenic route at a more relaxed pace or bring along their furry friends.
The Frosty 5K After Party will be held right after the race concludes inside the Peoria Riverfront Museum. Here, runners and spectators alike are invited to celebrate with refreshments, participate in a silent auction, and cheer on participants as they cross the finish line. Race results will also be announced during this festive gathering.
Proceeds from this event directly support FamilyCore's extensive programs and services for children and families across the tri-county area. With over 125 years of dedication to community service, FamilyCore has already made a significant impact in recent times by touching the lives of nearly 19,000 individuals last year alone.
This is more than just a race; it's an opportunity for runners and their dogs to come together in support of a meaningful cause. Whether you're looking for a challenging run or simply want to enjoy the scenic trail with your pet, there’s something here for everyone on this frosty January morning.
Join us at Peoria Riverfront Trail as we embrace the cold weather and warm hearts through community spirit and athletic camaraderie.
