2026 Wannigan Days Fun Runs

The 2026 Wannigan Days Fun Run Dam Dash returns to St Croix Falls, Wisconsin on Saturday, July 18th. Lace up your running shoes for this beloved community event that offers a scenic and challenging course through the Wert Family Preserve at Lion’s Park.
On race morning, expect a picturesque setting with the park's north side entrance located off Highway 87 North in St Croix Falls. The trail winds through the preserve, offering natural beauty and a mostly shaded canopy which keeps runners cool during the summer heat. Participants can look forward to running along peaceful pathways that combine fitness with fun.
This will be the event’s eleventh year celebrating community spirit and local traditions. With over 200 participants in previous years, it has become one of St Croix Falls' favorite summer events. The race supports a scholarship program aimed at encouraging youth involvement in physical activity and education within the area.
Course and conditions: The Dam Dash offers both a 5K run/walk and a 10K option for all levels of runners. The course venue is set amid the Wert Family Preserve, featuring hard and dry surface trails. It starts from Lion’s Park on the north side of Highway 87 North in St Croix Falls, Wisconsin. Participants will find aid stations along the route to keep them fueled during their journey.
